This Is Madness

Volume 2 of a personal project that went viral; the series is an illustration set of different types of sneaker hybrids done in celebration of Air Max Day 2018. Subsequently, the project went to take over the internet for a week and landed on the pages and front cover for none other than Sneaker Freaker (article) mag's 40th issue.

Due to the virality of the project, some chinese factories even went the extra mile and started making these into real world objects. A slew of unknown accounts started following my Instagram and churned out popular images into real goods:

An extra opportunity arose from this virality, and it was in the form of a commissioned piece for the world's leading fashion publication, Business Of Fashion, for their 500th issue.

The follow-up was a knee-jerk reaction to Adidas releasing a Dragonball Z sneaker collection, and posits the question of "wha if Nike did it"?

The illustrations ending up in Sneaker Freaker magazine and Highsnobiety, again.
