The Stubbins is a line of officially licensed plush figures reimagining iconic video game characters in compact, collectible form. Designed to be soft, stylized, and instantly recognizable, the series has featured characters from franchises like Monster Hunter, Persona 5, Street Fighter, and Overwatch.
The role involved leading the design direction for multiple characters in the series—translating detailed, often complex 3D game models into simplified plush forms without losing their identity or emotional resonance. The challenge was equal parts creative and technical: capturing character essence within strict manufacturing constraints, while maintaining consistency across the entire product line.
From turnarounds and expression studies to embroidery guides and material specs, the process demanded precision, empathy for the fanbase, and a sharp eye for form. The result is a collection that feels both collectible and personal—made for players who want to bring a piece of their game worlds into the real one.
